Grady Memorial Hospital opened a new outpatient mental health facility in Atlanta Tuesday, called the Auburn Avenue Recovery Center.

Former U.S. and Georgia First Lady Rosalynn Carter was a guest for the opening.  Carter has worked to improve the quality of life for those suffering from mental illness.

Grady’s Auburn Avenue Recovery Center will centralize outpatient mental health services into one location. Located in the Odd Fellows Building at 250 Auburn Ave., the center features 19 individual and group treatment rooms and space for more than 50 clinical staff.
