Krispy Kreme just upgraded its beloved original glazed doughnut with a pump of classic or chocolate fillings.

The Original Filled Doughnut, an "out-of-this-world innovation" inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, began arriving at locations across the country as a permanent addition to the menu on Monday.

According to Thrillist, the dessert shop has rolled out filled doughnuts abroad, including a Nutella-filled delicacy in the Dominican Republic, but it's the first such product for its American customers.

This Saturday, you can snag one free filled doughnut per guest (while supplies last!) at participating locations around town. The company is giving away the free doughnuts because customers met the challenge of 1 million doughnuts sold on National Doughnut Day earlier this month.

The following Georgia locations are participating in the Saturday promo, according to Krispy Kreme:

  • Albany
  • Athens
  • Atlanta
  • Atlanta - Evans St.
  • Augusta
  • Augusta - Washington Rd.
  • Bogart
  • Buford
  • Columbus
  • Commerce
  • Dalton
  • Decatur
  • Duluth
  • Lilburn
  • Marietta
  • Pooler
  • Riverdale
  • Rome

  • Savannah
  • Savannah - Abercorn St.
