As Atlanta gears up for the mid-summer Bronner Brothers hair show August 7-10, black hair is once again in the spotlight. The latest trend is a return to natural, non-chemically processed styles. TAG Concept Salon in Atlanta only offers natural hair styles. Here, Salon co-owner Tracey Robertson dries Lashima Tate's hair with a hair dryer that uses negative ion technology.

The first step is a shampoo followed by a conditioner and "finger combing." The salon has been "all natural", meaning it offers no chemical straighteners to clients, for four years.

After her hair is shampooed, Lashima Tate spends a few minutes getting steam therapy.

The next step (after drying) is silking with a ceramic iron.

After shampooing, conditioning, finger combing, steam therapy, and silking, Tate's styling is nearly complete.
