“The Munsters” is back. Rob Zombie, best known for “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects”, is helming the movie, and the auteur released a teaser trailer for the family-friendly classic’s reboot on Wednesday.

In a scene old school fans will immediately recognize, the teaser kicks off by recreating the sitcom’s opening credits. Viewers will want to stick around until the very end to see the movie’s pivotal characters in action, even if it’s only for a brief moment.

The teaser trailer can be seen, in full, through Rob Zombie’s Instagram. As the auteur himself said, “enjoy!”

The movie stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa. While the movie does not have a release date yet, fans can expect it to hit theaters sometime this year. The film will be released simultaneously on streaming service Peacock.

Fans of the classic sitcom need not worry about a violent remake. Zombie said he has no intentions of giving “The Munsters” movie a “House of 1000 Corpses” horror treatment.

“For those of you speculating, wondering and assuming that THE MUNSTERS would be dirty, violent and nasty… well, you are wrong,” Zombie said previously on Instagram, revealing that the movie will be rated PG. “It’s all good down on Mockingbird Lane.”
