Photos: Unique lighting fixtures in Atlanta homes

The chandelier is inspired by the light fixtures by Lindsey Adelman but was a reproduction created in China, said homeowner Elizabeth Cook.

In the sunroom, a sputnik light found on eBay is paired with Edison-style light bulbs the homeowners purchased at 1000Bulbs.com.

Textured details include the basket-shaped light fixture in the sunroom.

The movie set lights fit with the surreal nature of the home, which is an East Lake landmark dating to 1910. Plus, the architect of the home later designed Atlanta's Fox Theatre. "To some degree, the house is grand. I felt it kind of went with the fact that you do feel like you step into this fairy tale in the house," said homeowner Angela Fusaro.

A baby grand piano, chandelier from Lighting Loft and bursts of red against gray walls add drama to the music nook overlooking the city.

A pair of star lights from Scott Antique Markets cast a stained glass-like effect in Brandon Hancock's daughter's bedroom. "They fit perfectly," he said. "At night they give off a really good shadow, which is really cool."

A large four-poster bed is the focal point of Michael and Jenniffer Marblestone’s master bedroom. The light streaming in through the windows and the airy color palette in the space give the room a spa-like vibe. “It’s very relaxing and very minimal,” said Jenniffer. The renovated master bathroom mixes modern and vintage styles. The pendant light above the tub is from Ikea. Dual vanities were added in the 2013 renovation, which also included a custom closet by California Closets.

Lucia Gravel wanted a loft bed in her new room, her parents said,and this one from Ikea filled the bill. The charcoal, black and white colors are modern but not sterile, with the help of plants and strands of twinkle lights.

Blue glass pendants from Lighting Loft contrast with bright yellow kitchen walls.

A pendant light from Capital Lighting adds a sculptural touch to the foyer. The Emily Harris painting brings depth to the entry.

Aluminum frame Soho bar stools from Trinity Mercantile & Design by Neuvo Living give the kitchen a touch of industrial style. The glass pendant lights from Progressive Lighting above the marble island help create a cohesive look because they are like pendants over the sink and in the master suite. The perimeter countertops are leathered Black Pearl granite from Construction Resources.

The Wares selected most of the light fixtures in their home from their builder, Ashton Woods. The three-light burnished silver pendants over the island in their kitchen are the exception; those they picked out and purchased from Houzz.
