PHOTOS: Metro Atlanta remembers victims of Sept. 11
Two events in metro Atlanta commemorate the 2977 lives lost in deadly terrorist attacks in on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. Firefighters make the annual trek to the summit of Stone Mountain to honor the 343 firefighters who were killed in the Twin Towers. A total of 2977 victims were killed in the attacks over three locations -- New York, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
