Dairy Queen  wants to brighten up your rainy first day of spring  with just a taste of summer.

Today, Dairy Queen is inviting metro Atlanta customers to start summer early by partaking in its Free Cone Day, a day celebrating the ice cream shop's partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Participating metro Atlanta Dairy Queen  locations in Alpharetta, Marietta, Smyrna,  Decatur, Duluth and dozens more metro Atlanta locations will serve up a free small vanilla soft-serve cone with the signature curl on top to each customer. The offer is not offered at local mall locations, and the offer is limited to one cone per person.

Dairy Queen encourages all customers to make a donation to CMN Hospitals like Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in exchange for the free cone.

March 20 is Dairy Queen's fourth annual Free Cone Day.
