Prince Jackson is a college graduate of Loyola Marymount University.
The oldest child of the late King of Pop, whose full name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration over the weekend, People reported.
T.J. Jackson, Prince Jackson's cousin, tweeted a photo with the graduate on Saturday. The Associated Press reported that T.J. Jackson served as Prince's guardian after his father died.
“Prince, it’s been a long road but you did it,” T.J. Jackson said. “Keep learning, keep growing and keep giving back! So so proud of you. I love you.”
Prince Jackson also shared a photos and video from the occasion on Instagram Sunday as his grandmother Katherine Jackson, youngest sibling Prince Michael "Blanket" Jackson and aunt LaToya Jackson greeted him after the graduation ceremony. His sister, 21-year-old Paris Jackson, wasn't at the event. He also made a separate post recognizing Katherine Jackson and other women in his life who supported him as he earned his degree.
"But let's really celebrate some of the strongest women I have been fortunate to know and love so closely in my life and who deserve recognition on Mother's Day," the 22-year-old captioned a photo of himself in graduation regalia next to Katherine Jackson.
Prince Jackson, said he graduated cum laude from the university's school of business.
"I met so many people and learned so much that the experience alone is worth it. I wish I could thank everyone that helped me make it to the end but I can't and unfortunately they're not all pictured here," Prince Jackson said in an Instagram post, thanking his cousins who encouraged him to graduate.
“Honestly I can’t tell you if all of it was worth it yet but I am proud of my degree as I believe it is a testament to my dedication and discipline,” he wrote. “I’m thankful for LMUs education of a whole person and the implementation of Jesuit values because I believe they inspire graduates like me to continue to change the world for the better.”
