The late director John Singleton will be buried in a private funeral Monday with no media allowed, according to his representative. A public celebration of his life will follow weeks later.
"The funeral will be a very small, intimate goodbye for family and very close friends and will not be open to the public or media," Singleton's rep said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight. "The family is planning a larger memorial for John in a few weeks to celebrate his life. More details to follow at a later date on the memorial."

Singleton was taken off life support April 29 after suffering a stroke April 17. He was 51.
"It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton passed away today due to complications from a stroke he suffered last Wednesday," a statement issued April 29 said.

TMZ reported that a private funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. PDT at Angeles Funeral Home. He will be buried at Fores Lawn-Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, the same cemetery where Nipsey Hussle was laid to rest.

According to the tabloid site, Singleton's will was filed in Los Angeles Friday. His oldest daughter, Justice Singleton, will get his estate, as his will was drafted in 1993, before his six other children were born. The director's estate is reportedly valued at $35 million.
