Singers hoping to catch their big break with Sean “Diddy” Combs can soon do so in Atlanta.
The music mogul’s three sons — Christian Combs, Quincy Brown and Justin Combs, also known as the “Combs Cartel”— were recently announced as judges for the reboot of “Making the Band.” Creative director and choreographer LaurieAnn Gibson, a veteran of the program, will round out the judges panel for the show, which will begin auditions in Atlanta at the end of the month.

Auditions will kick off in Georgia’s capital city Feb. 28-29 before the tour heads to Houston, Texas, Charlotte, N.C. and New York City in March.
“We not settling for just anybody,” Brown said in the video announcing the audition schedule. “You feel like you’ve got what it takes to compete in today’s industry. Y’all know how our pops does it. So expect nothing but the best to be showing up.”
“I need somebody that’s confident,” added Justin Combs.
Christian Combs noted he’s in search of “a hungry artist.”
“Making The Band is back. We back, we back, we back,” said Diddy alongside his sons at the end of the video.

Hopeful stars can submit auditions at MakingTheBandCasting.com, where eligibility requirements are outlined. Ahead of auditions, fans will get the chance to experience pop-up "Making the Band" vocal booths. Atlanta has the first vocal booth, which will offer aspiring singers a music video-style performance to approved audition songs. Submissions can then be shared on social media and used to submit auditions online.
In this case, hopeful performers won't get sent all over the city in search of highly-coveted cheesecake.
Diddy's "Making the Band" debuted on MTV in 2002 and saw the formation of groups and singers including Da Band, Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie Klang. It followed the first incarnation of the series, in which former boy band manager and record producer Lou Pearlman developed O-Town. Last year, Diddy announced the series he hosted and executive produced would be revamped. He took to Twitter to reveal a global talent search had been opened.
