Friday, January 22, 2016: Paying For Long- Term Care: Navigating Georgia’s Options

Please join us on Friday, January 22, 2016, for a Complimentary Lunch CEU as Danielle Humphrey, JD, CELA of Hurley Elder Care Law discusses “Paying For Long- Term Care: Navigating Georgia’s Options.” With the number of long-term care recipients on the rise, it is vital that healthcare professionals in the geriatric field understand what options are available for Georgians to locate and pay for the care that they need. Families need assistance navigating their options, and they often turn to their case manager, social worker or nurse for answers. This seminar will offer healthcare professionals the tools they need to explain the care options in Georgia, including how much that care costs and how to pay for the care. Special attention will be paid to Georgia Nursing Home Medicaid and the VA Aid and Attendance benefit. CEUs available: 1 core hour for social workers (GA NASW); 1 contact hour for case managers (CCMC); 1 contact hour for RNs (TNA). Registration is for social workers, case managers and registered nurses only. Registration and Lunch, 11:30 am -12:00 pm; CEU education, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
