Suwanee-based Vision Airlines launched several new routes Friday, including a new route from Atlanta to Destin, Fla. But it has scrapped plans to launch flights from Macon to Destin.

Vision, a small carrier with origins in the air tour and charter business, launched scheduled flights in Atlanta last year with a route to Louisville. It is adding new routes from around the Southeast to Destin.

But Vision's director of sales and marketing Clay Meek said the airline wasn't able to sell many tickets in Macon.

"The community didn't respond," Meek said.
