UPS got a lot of mileage out of its NASCAR-themed ads in the past. One previous theme was NASCAR driver Dale Jarrett racing UPS's signature brown trucks.

The Sandy Springs-based company is hoping a new crop of ads that will run during Sunday's Daytona 500 will get similar attention.

One ad suggests that UPS can make trackside deliveries, something not even a frustrated Santa Claus can do. Another features David Ragan, driver of the No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion, towing two trailers around a NASCAR track while racing a distracted taxi cab driver. The ad promotes UPS's freight division.

“Over the years, our racing program has allowed UPS to reach new customers and grow our business," said Ron Rogowski, director of sponsorships for UPS, in a statement.

The new TV ads can be seen at http://www.racing.ups.com/gallery/racing-video/#video-2881.

UPS also is promoting a $100,000 sweepstakes and other giveaways at www.ups.com/racing.
