UPS launches improved inventory tracking software

UPS has launched an improved Web-based software that will help companies better manage their inventories of parts and products.

The "Post Sales Order Management System," for example, can tell companies where the closest part is in their inventory, as well as the quickest way to get it to the customer. UPS is targeting the service to high-tech/electronics makers, medical equipment suppliers and aerospace industries. The system is available worldwide.
