Columbus-based payments processor TSYS said Tuesday it named Mark D. Pyke president of of its TSYS Acquiring Solutions business. The acquiring solutions unit, which is based in Tempe, Ariz.,  is a payments processor on the merchant side of transactions. Pyke, who was president of Bank of America Merchant Services in Louisville, Ky., will report to M. Troy Woods, TSYS' president and chief operating officer. The announcement follows TSYS' earlier announcement that it formed a joint venture with the First National Bank of Omaha called First National Merchant Solutions. That joint venture, which is 51-percent owned by TSYS, is charged with signing up merchants for processing services.
