Atlanta-based Troutman Sanders said Monday it named Amie V. Colby managing partner of its Washington, D.C. office, effective immediately. Colby, 38, replaces Kevin C. Fitzgerald, who was promoted to the firm-wide post of executive partner for client development strategic planning. Colby, who has been a partner at the firm since 2007, represents clients in the energy industry. She will continue that practice while overseeing the firm's D.C. office's 90-attorney staff.
