The Kroger in Lindbergh that's been under construction for a year and a half is having its grand opening ceremony.

The event is at the new store, 2542 Morosgo Way, and will be held 9 a.m. Nov. 9, according to a news release.

Construction began in June 2015 on the 84,397-square-foot store where Lindbergh Drive Northeast meets Piedmont Road Northeast.

The company says it will add more than 300 jobs to the community.

"We look forward to hosting this grand opening event and providing an exciting shopping experience that will suit the unique needs of our in-town customers," said Glynn Jenkins, Kroger's Atlanta spokesman.

The new store will feature a deli, pharmacy, floral shop, organic section and vitamin shop along with an "expanded meat and seafood department."
