The scenic glass elevators that shuttle visitors along the outside of the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel in downtown Atlanta will reopen Wednesday. The elevators have been under repair since a March 2008 tornado left a path of destruction in the downtown area. The elevators take visitors from the building's fifth floor lobby to the hotel's multi-level Sun Dial Restaurant atop the 73-floor story building. The Westin also expects to finish replacing each of the hotel's windows, many of which were damaged in the twister, in October.
