A woman has been awarded nearly $230,000 because a cable company harassed her with 153 robocalls in less that a year even after she complained about them.

Araceli King sued Time Warner last year after the company bombarded her with calls about a bill that belonged to someone else. Time Warner continued with the robocalls even after King filed the lawsuit, according to Reuters.

The award amounts to $1,500 per call.

In its defense, Time Warner stated the company should not be held responsible because the company's telephone system believed it was contacting Luiz Perez, the person who owed money on a bill and Perez had consented to the calls.

The cable giant is reviewing the decision.
