Porsche Cars North America plans to celebrate its new headquarters near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Thursday.

The company has relocated its headquarters from Sandy Springs to a site on the east side of the Atlanta airport near the international terminal off I-75. The sleek building with some 400 employees also includes a test track that customers can pay to experience.

The company’s employees moved into the new building back in January, but the test track had not yet been completed, and is now expected to begin operations in June. Local dignitaries and other guests plan to attend the grand opening event at the Porsche headquarters Thursday.

Porsche first announced its plans to move its North America headquarters to the airport area site back in 2011, with state and local incentives then valued at about $14 million. The company had expected to complete the facility by 2013, but developing the site along with the building and track took longer than expected.
