Atlanta-based airport parking company Park ‘N Fly acknowledged this week that some of its customers’ payment card information may be at risk after a data security breach.

The company operates the Park 'N Fly, Park 'N Go and Park 'N Fly Plus off-airport parking lots near Hartsfield-Jackson, as well as other airport parking lots across the country. Park 'N Fly encouraged customers to review account statements for any unusual activity, notify their credit card companies of the potential data compromise and monitor their credit reports. The company is also offering free identity monitoring and identity protection services to potentially affected customers for the next 12 months.

Park 'N Fly in December said it was investigating reports of online fraud, but said at the time there was no specific evidence of data being taken.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
