East Point-based Newell Recycling of Georgia LLC said it is merging with Norcross-based Blaze Recycling & Metals LLC, with the combined company operating as Newell Recycling Southeast.

Newell operates 14 recycling facilities in the state, including three mega shredders. Blaze operates eight scrap yards in Georgia and Alabama, including two high-capacity shredders, at its Lawrenceville and Phenix City, Ala., locations

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
