Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises elected fourth-generation family members Alex Taylor and Jamie Kennedy to its board of directors.

“I’m delighted that Alex and Jamie will be joining our board of directors,” said Cox Enterprises Chairman Jim Kennedy. “…this announcement demonstrates the continued commitment of our family to invest in and grow the company my grandfather started in 1898. They understand the company’s culture and core businesses, as well as emerging industries and technologies that will play a role in the future of Cox Enterprises.”

Cox Enterprises is the largest privately held firm based in Georgia and owns The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and other companies.

Taylor serves as executive vice president of Cox Enterprises, where he oversees the company’s long-term investment strategies and manages Cox’s investments in the Cox Innovation Fund and True North Venture Partners.

Jamie Kennedy serves as a board member for CIBT, Dynamic Signal, InSite Wireless Group and True North Venture Partners. He previously served as Cox Enterprises’ vice president of corporate development where he oversaw the acquisition of Kelley Blue Book and other ventures.
