New Disney store opens

The new Disney store opened at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody.

The new Disney store in Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, promising the best 30 minutes of a child's life, opened Wednesday, March 30.

The store is the first in Georgia to feature a new concept launched last year at 19 stores in the U.S. and Europe. They sell essentially the same merchandise as all Disney stores, but add interactive concepts aimed at boosting traffic and increasing the amount of time and money visitors spend inside.

Each morning a child is randomly chosen to unlock the store with a giant key.

A wall of accessories allows kids to build their own custom cars modeled on the Pixar 'Cars' series.

The Disney Store Theatre is one of the interactive features in the store.

Toddlers can make characters spin atop a tower at the store.

Tools hanging from a work station allow kids to build their own custom cars.

Children can have an interactive experience with the Magic Mirrors at the store.

Changing animated trees are spread through out the store.
