A week after announcing a technology partnership with a company in China, Duluth-based NCR has signed another software and hardware deal that will expand its services in Qatar, in the Middle East.

Qatar Islamic Bank said the partnership will expand ATM services in the country as part of a range of technology projects this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.

QIB says it has 11 percent of the overall banking market in Qatar and 37 percent of the Islamic banking market. The company’s operations are overseen by a Shari’a board.

NCR is a major provider of ATMs and self-check-in kiosks at airports, and also provides solutions to financial, hospitality and travel industries.

Last week, the company announced a partnership with Shanghai Anmao Information Technology Co., which will become a reseller for a range of point-of-sale hardware such as cash registers and self-serve checkouts, software and services to retailers in China.
