The most hated retailer in American may surprise some shoppers.

Abercrombie made its debut on the American Customer Satisfaction Index report, scoring a 65,  according to CNN Money.

The report, which surveyed 9,358 customers about recent shopping experiences, broke the retail industry into six sectors, including specialty retail stores and supermarkets.

Abercrombie’s low score follows a rebranding attempt and the December 2014 departure of CEO Mike Jeffries.

The second most hated retail brand was Walmart, which received a score of 66.

It wasn't all bad news for retailers.

Some of the higher scoring companies include Nordstrom, Costco, Amazon and Wegmans.

Overall customer satisfaction dropped for a second straight year.
