A development team has proposed a large mixed-use project, including office space and apartments, along Ga. 400 and Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta.
Lincoln Property Company and insurance giant MetLife have proposed the project on a tract at the northwest quadrant of the interchange. In a Development of Regional Impact filing, the team has proposed about 750,000 square feet of office space, about 105,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 414 apartments, 25 condos and a hotel.
The DRI filing is aimed at alerting the Atlanta Regional Commission and neighboring governments of large projects, so that they can prepare for potential effects such as traffic and demand for schools and other services.
Major Ga. 400 interchanges have caught the attention of developers. North American Properties and its partners have completed the first phase of the Avalon mini-city and another team has proposed Riverwalk Village near Holcomb Bridge Road and Ga. 400.
A representative of Lincoln could not immediately comment on the filing.
