Bram Industries, an Israeli plastics products manufacturer, said it plans to open its first U.S. plant in Savannah.

The company will invest about $3 million in the new plant, which will employ 60 people. The plant will be at 300 Telfair Road in the Georgia Commerce Center. Production will start in the third quarter.

Bram, which is based in Sderot, Israel, produces plastic kitchen utensils, tableware, housewares and storage containers under the Bramli brand. In addition to its home country, Bram’s’s products are sold in the U.S., Europe and South America.

Bram will join at least 50 other Israeli companies now doing business in Georgia, according to Conexx.org, the America Israel business Connector.

In 2013, Caesarstone Sdot Yam Ltd., an Israeli company that manufactures quartz surfaces, announced it was building a plant in Richmond Hill, which is near Savannah in Bryan County.

Last year during a trade mission by Gov. Nathan Deal to Israel, Credorax, an Israeli e-commerce firm, announced that it would eventually create more than 100 jobs at a banking center in Atlanta.
