Atlanta-based InTown Suites said real estate executive Jonathan Pertchik has been named chief executive officer of the extended-stay living chain.
Pertchik replaces Scott Griffith, who stepped down in December as president and chief executive officer. The company said Chief Financial Officer Dennis Cassel took over as president on Jan. 1.
Griffith had been president and CEO of the extended-stay hotel chain for nearly 10 years.
Pertchik most recently was chief executive officer and president of ST Residential, a commercial real estate developer. He also has held senior positions at developer WCI Communities and at the Staubach Co., a real estate advisory company.
InTown Suits was acquired by the private investment firm Starwood Capital Group last year. The extended stay hotel’s rooms are set up like efficiency apartments for weekly accommodations.
The chain, founded in 1989, has 135 locations in 21 states.
