Alpharetta-based Halyard Health, a medical technology company focused on infection prevention, announced the completion of its spinoff from Kimberly-Clark Corp.

The new company reported 2013 net sales of $1.7 billion for its surgical and infection prevention products and medical devices business. It has 16,500 employees and markets products in more than 100 countries worldwide.
