Atlanta-based Genuine Parts announced the acquisition of Impact Products of Toledo, Ohio, a provider of facility, janitorial and safety supplies.
Financial terms of the deal, which was made by Genuine Parts’ office products group, S.P. Richards Co., were not disclosed. Impact Products has two distribution facilities, in Toledo and Walnut, Calif., The company is expected to generate about $85 million in annual revenue.
This is the latest of a series of recent acquisitions by Genuine Parts, whose businesses include the NAPA auto parts retail chain, in addition to industrial replacement parts, business products and electrical and electronic components.
In February, S.P. Richards acquired Garland C. Norris Co. Inc., a North Carolina distributor of food service disposables, and janitorial and cleaning supplies. Garland C. Norris is expected to generate about $35 million in annual revenues.
“This new business serves to further diversify S.P. Richards’ product offering and is complementary to our Garland C. Norris acquisition completed earlier in the year,” Genuine Parts Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tom Gallagher said Tuesday of the deal with Impact Products.
Earlier this year, Genuine Parts also completed the buyout of Commercial Solutions Inc., a bearings and power transmission products supplier based in Edmonton, Alberta, and Schaumburg, Ill.-based Electro-Wire, Inc., a distributor of specialty wire and cable products.
