Furniture retailer W.S Badcock Corp. plans to build a new distribution center in West Georgia, replacing two existing facilities, according to a state news release.

The company, which operates Badcock Home Furniture & More stores across the Southeast, will open the new warehouse in the Callaway South Industrial Park in LaGrange, about 70 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. It is expected to open in the second half of 2015, the release said.

The project will replace existing distribution centers in Thomson, in eastern Georgia, and in Cullman, Ala., the release said. The new LaGrange facility is expected to employ more than 100.
