The Four Seasons Atlanta and Sea Island’s The Cloister and the Lodge at Sea Island were named the state’s top hotels again by Forbes Travel Guide.
The three hotels, perennial favorites on the list, were awarded five stars, the top ratings given in Forbes annual listing of the best lodging in the nation.
“Sea Island is proud to once again earn the honorable Forbes five-star recognitions,” Scott Steilen, president and CEO of Sea Island Company, said in a statement. Sea Island Company owns Sea Island and The Cloister.
“We are grateful for our dedicated staff who deliver gracious hospitality every day, which encourages our guests to return year after year,” Steilen said.
Hotels use the five-star rating to set maintain luxury prices that can reach as high as $1,000 a night and more for top-end rooms. It also helps the brands distinguish themselves from competitors.
