February airline on-time performance improved in Atlanta

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport ranked fourth for on-time arrivals in February among 29 major airports ranked, according to federal statistics released Tuesday.

The Atlanta airport had 79.6 percent of flights arriving on time in the month, which improved its ranking from 16th place a year earlier. In the No. 1 position for on-time arrivals in February was Charlotte.

Delta Air Lines ranked 7th for on-time arrivals in the month, among 16 carriers ranked by the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Hawaiian Airlines had the best on-time performance.
