Exide Technologies, a maker and recycler of lead-acid batteries, said Tuesday it named James R. Bolch president and chief executive of the company effective July 26. He replaces Gordon A. Ulsh, 64, who is retiring from the Milton-based firm. Ulsh had been chief executive since April 2005. Bolch, 52, is currently senior vice president and president of the $2.2 billion Industrial Technologies Sector at Ingersoll Rand Co.
