If you're looking for a job this October, you'll find a variety of companies filling seasonal positions as well as permanent ones.

Check out these metro Atlanta companies that are making big hires this month:

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

More than 60 employers with over 2,000 job openings at the airport will host a job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Openings include jobs for baristas, bartenders, cooks, managers, baggage handlers, police officers, firefighters, software engineers and technical writers.

If you're planning to attend, register online, bring 10 or more copies of your resume and wear professional attire. You'll also need to be able to pass a 10-year background check.

WellStar

WellStar has openings this month for respiratory therapists at its Kennestone, Cobb and North Fulton hospitals. A hiring fair will be held on Oct. 10 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at Cobb Hospital Auditorium, 3950 Austell Road SW, Austell.

Gap Inc.

To prepare for the holidays, Gap is hosting a hiring day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 5 at all its Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Janie and Jack stores. You can also search online for open positions such as managers, seasonal brand associates and stock associates.

Benefits include merchandise discounts at Gap brand stores, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan with matching up to 4% and five monthly paid volunteer hours.

T-Mobile

Wireless carrier T-Mobile is looking to fill plenty of positions in metro Atlanta this October, and you'll find openings for sales positions as well a senior engineer and a senior architect.

Some of the job perks include medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as tuition assistance and large discounts on consumer rate plans and accessories. Click here to check out current openings and to apply.
