With 103 locations across Georgia, the discount retailer has plans to hire  70,000 workers nationally this year, the same number of hires it added last year.

Other retailers with plans to hire include Kohl's — a department store chain with 27 locations in metro Atlanta and 35 in the state and Toys R Us with 25 state-wide locations.

Kohl's plans to hire more than 69,000 workers across the country and 50 in each Georgia store in the months to come, a 2,000-worker increase nationally from last year. Toys R Us says it is expecting to hire 40,000 seasonal workers this year, a drop from last year's numbers. However, Toys R Us workers will be able to log more hours this time around.

Target is hiring for the upcoming holiday season. Those interested can go to Jobs.Target.com.
