Within minutes of the announcement that Dennis Story was leaving Atlanta-based Manhattan Associates, news came from a South Carolina company that he will become their chief financial officer this summer.

Story was CFO at Manhattan Associates, a software company, for a decade.

Manhattan said in a written statement this afternoon that Story will be leaving “to pursue personal and other business interests,” but will continue as CFO through June 30.

A little while later, a press release came from Benefitfocus, Inc. of Charleston that Story will become CFO on July, succeeding Milt Alpern who retired March 31.

Benefitfocus is a provider of benefits management software.

Manhattan is a provider of software for managing business supply chains.
