Delta Air Lines’ vacation package subsidiary has completed its move from Minnesota to Georgia, with about 100 employees in a Delta reservations building near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The subsidiary, MLT Vacations, was initially expected to bring about 160 jobs to Atlanta when the decision was made last year to move from Edina, Minn. to Atlanta. But that changed to 100 after a decision to keep the company’s product group in Minnesota, said MLT Vacations president John Caldwell.

The company offered employees in Edina the opportunity to transfer to Atlanta, but most chose not to and only about 10 employees decided to relocate, Caldwell said. New hires filled the empty positions.

MLT Vacations manages Delta Vacations, Aeromexico Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations. It also manages United Vacations until that partnership ends at the end of this year.

MLT Vacations started in 1969 as a travel agency called Mainline Travel. Delta acquired the company through its merger with Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest Airlines in 2008.
