Delta Air Lines announced it has added an 18th Boeing 777 to its fleet. The 777-200LR was delivered to Delta on Thursday. The Atlanta-based carrier will use the jet for its flights from Detroit to Hong Kong starting June 1. Top-performing Delta employees flew with the 777 on its delivery flight from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Atlanta, after touring Boeing's facilities in Seattle.

It is the second 777LR Delta has added to its fleet this year. Delta started flying 777s in 1999, and in 2008 began flying the longer-range 777LR.
