The Georgia Supreme Court has declined to reconsider a ruling in favor of the Paulding County airport’s right to issue bonds for a taxiway expansion.

The ruling last month was the latest legal decision in a fight over commercialization of the Paulding airport. Residents opposed to the airport’s commercialization plan had filed the legal challenge to more than $3 million in bonds for the taxiway work.

The court ruled that approvals for the bonds did not violate the law or the state constitution. Attorneys for the residents then asked the court to reconsider, but the court on Monday rejected the request.
