The Corner Bakery Café said it will open its fifth location in metro Atlanta in the Cumberland area on Monday. The fast-casual restaurant will open at 2973 Cobb Parkway near the Akers Mill Shopping Center.

The chain’s other locations are in Buckhead, downtown Atlanta, Lenox Square mall and Peachtree Corners.

“As we continue to expand our presence across the country, we recognize that Atlanta is a prime area for the development of our brand,” CEO Mike Hislop said in announcing the new location.

Dallas-based Corner Bakery Café, originally a small Chicago bakery, was founded in 1991. In 2011, Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group, a private equity firm, acquired Corner Bakery’s parent company, CBC Restaurant Corp.

Roark Capital’s portfolio of restaurant brands also includes Arby’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Cinnabon and Schlotzsky’s.
