Norcross-based Comverge, an energy management software maker, has named Gregory Dukat as chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Dukat replaces Blake Young, who resigned after serving as CEO since 2010. The private investment firm H.I.G. Capital acquired Comverge the same year.

Comverge’s software helps utilities, grid operators and commercial and industrial clients organizations manage energy usage to cut costs and meet regulatory requirements.

Dukat is a former chairman and CEO of Campus Management, which provides software solutions to colleges and universities. He is also a former CEO of StarCite, an event management solutions provider.
