Delta Air Lines is holding a cook-off video series to choose a chef to join its culinary team for in-flight meals, and some of the competitors are familiar names from the Atlanta restaurant scene.

Local chefs Linton Hopkins and Hugh Acheson are two of the four competitors in the “Cabin Pressure Cook off,” a four-episode video series developed through a partnership between Food & Wine magazine and Atlanta-based Delta. Hopkins is executive chef and owner of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House, while Hugh Acheson is chef/partner of Empire State South. Also competing will be Memphis’s Kelly English and New York’s George Mendes.

The episodes will air on Delta flights, on Delta’s website and on Food & Wine’s website starting in October. The winning chef will join Michelle Bernstein, Michael Chiarello and master sommelier Andrea Robinson on Delta’s culinary team. Robinson and Bernstein will also be among the judges in the cook-off.
