Community & Southern Bank said Thursday that it completed its acquisition of Alliance Bancshares, the parent company of Alliance National Bank, adding two offices in Dalton and Cumming.
It’s the Atlanta bank’s second takeover in a little over three months. CSB announced the deal to buy Alliance National Bank in May. And after Conyers-based Eastside Commercial Bank failed on July 18, CSB also took over its Conyers and Duluth branches.
CSB said Alliance National Bank had about $157 million in assets and $130 million in deposits.
“This acquisition has positioned CSB as the largest community bank in Dalton and helps us expand our presence in Forsyth County, one of Georgia’s fastest growing markets,” said Pat Frawley, CSB’s chief executive.
Community & Southern had $3.4 billion in assets and 39 branches in metro Atlanta and northern Georgia.
