Atlanta-based Wendy’s/Arby’s Group announced that its Arby's subsidiary has signed a development agreement with an international restaurant operator called Tab Gida to open at least 100 Arby’s restaurants in Turkey over the next 10 years, including 50 during the next five years. Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, the third largest fast-food restaurant company in the U.S., said the deal is an important step in its international growth strategy. Tab Gida has operated quick-service restaurants since 1995 and owns or sub-franchises more than 430 restaurants in metropolitan areas throughout Turkey, which is also an expansion area for other Atlanta-based brands such as Popeyes and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
