A Nebraska-based franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants is moving its headquarters to Sandy Springs.

RMH Franchise Holdings, which owns 138 Applebee’s in 15 states, will lease 14,000 square feet of office space at One Concourse Parkway in the Concourse Corporate Center.

Leasing advisor David Rubenstein of Cresa Atlanta said the office space design is being finalized and construction is expected to begin within 30 days. RMH is expected to move into the space by the end of the year, with 60 positions expected initially.

RMH said it employs more than 7,000 workers. The franchisee has no locations in Georgia.

“Atlanta offers us the right combination of a reasonable cost of living, the availability of highly skilled restaurant management expertise and convenient access to the rest of the country through Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” Chief Executive Officer Jeff Neumann said in a statement.

The largest owner and operator of Applebee’s restaurants in metro Atlanta is Neighborhood Restaurant Partners LLC, which has nearly 40 locations, according to its website. NRP was formed by Argonne Capital Group, an Atlanta-based private investment firm whose restaurant portfolio includes Krystal and Stevi B’s.

The first Applebee’s opened in Decatur in 1980. Glendale, Calf.-based DineEquity Inc. is the parent of the Applebee’s brand, in addition to IHOP restaurants.
