The Atlanta Journal-Constitution named Mark Medici as its new vice president of audience, a role in which he will lead efforts to expand product offerings and increase revenues. He fills a post that had been held by Amy Glennon, who recently was promoted to AJC publisher.
Medici had been with a sister publication, the Austin American-Statesman, where he was vice president of audience and digital strategy. Both the AJC and the Statesman are part of Cox Enterprises' Cox Media Group. Medici will focus on growing newspaper and digital audiences and revenue in Atlanta and will provide strategic guidance to other Cox newspapers.
“Mark’s experience in, and passion for, serving both print and digital audiences make him an ideal choice for this role,” Glennon said in an AJC press release. “He brings a unique blend of technical and operational expertise backed by a drive to make things happen."
Prior to joining the Statesman, Medici worked at The Dallas Morning News and The Oregonian.
