AirTran will be Atlanta Falcons’ new airline

Aug 22, 2009

AirTran Airways will be the new official airline of the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons and the Orlando-based airline, which has its large hub in Atlanta, plan to announce the partnership Monday in Flowery Branch, where the Falcons are in training camp.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines earlier this year pulled out of its sponsorship as the official airline of the Falcons, saying it is aligning more with baseball. AirTran already had a deal with Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, to feature him in AirTran advertising in the Atlanta area.
