AirTran Airways announced it will begin flying to Tunica, Miss. from Atlanta starting May 6.

The airline will fly four times a week from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to the gaming destination. AirTran, which is based in Orlando and has its largest hub in Atlanta, will use 117-seat Boeing 717 jets on the route.

AirTran said its flights will be the first scheduled service from a major airline to Tunica.
